General Questions

What to expect on the course ?

In the eight week course the primary skill we teach is mindfulness, an approach to stress and difficulty that involves learning to pay attention to what we are experiencing, moment by moment with both curiosity and interest.

Based on courses developed at the Centre for Mindfulness, Research and Practice at Bangor University and the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, our eight-week training course provides a thorough introduction to the practice of mindfulness and its application to stress, anxiety and depression.

The eight-week course is a very practical introduction to mindfulness with periods in each session dedicated to practicing mindfulness. At other times participants are invited to give feedback about practicing mindfulness, both in the session itself and at home. Each session also explores different themes via teaching and discussion.
